Our relationship with food shapes our children’s relationship with food.
After a lifetime of confusing or negative messages about eating — what we “should” or “shouldn’t” eat, how our bodies “should” look — it’s no wonder meal times can feel overwhelming.
If you’ve ever wondered how to raise your kids to have a healthy relationship with food, or how to make family meals less stressful and more enjoyable, this workshop is for you.
In this workshop, Dara Gurau, Registered Dietitian and Founder of How to Eat, shares practical, compassionate strategies to help your family feel calmer and more confident around food.
You’ll learn how to:
Understand how your own relationship with food influences your child’s
Support kids to develop trust and confidence with eating
Make mealtimes feel calm and connected
Create balanced meals without guilt or stress
This isn’t another “how to eat perfectly” talk.
It’s a refreshing, judgment-free conversation about what it really means to nourish yourself and your family — with flexibility, balance, and self-compassion.
You’ll leave feeling more confident in your food choices, and more connected to what really matters at the table.
Dara Gurau, RD
Registered Dietitian & Founder, How to Eat
Hi, I’m Dara. I have been practicing as a Registered Dietitian for over 13 years. As a mom to three young girls, I have experienced first hand the stress, joy and confusion that comes with feeding kids. I help provide families with education and strategies to help make feeding kids and family meals an enjoyable experience and set the foundation for a lifelong healthful relationship with food.
I practice from a Health At Every Size approach and work together with my clients to help them create a positive and balanced relationship with food and their body. If you are tired of the yo-yo dieting and feeling overwhelmed with "food rules," I can help you let go of the guilt, develop a healthy relationship with food, and get back to enjoying food and eating, stress-free. My goal is to help you build a peaceful relationship with food, your body and life.
